Firstly ... eh ... anyone has a dv camera / camcorder? cos for my current 4D project we have to make a short film from a miniDV tape of unknown contents ... yup .. and i need to borrow a camcorder to transfer the contents in the tape into computer ... ya, if any of you has one can tell me? I can just pop over at your house wif my lappy and tansfer on the spot ... dun even need to borrow it out ... (it's hols tts y i can't borrow from sch ...) thanks a lot!
ok .. yup ... hols are finally here again ... it has been quite a tough term this sem with a lot of setbacks and doubts ... yup ... but at least i've survived another term ... haha .. just thought of posting some works that I've done this term ... it's quite different from last sem cos this term the profs demanded more thinking and concepts ... the last wk of my term was exceptionally xiong .... it was almost like the worst case senario that could happen and it happened -_-
This was my last 4D project for the term ... it's something like conceptual photography ... it's titled "What you see is what you get?" ... the project was sort of like using photographs to intervene into a space to change ppl's perception ... ya ... and my prof asked me to push it further so i tried to bring in some perception theories in too ...

This is from an earlier 4D project .. called Project Making Strange ... each of us randomly picked a paper ... and we were supposed to photograph that object written on the paper in a strange way ... can u guess what's mine? anw ... haha .. one of my friends got underwear ... HAHA

And this is from my group... it's titled Project Niicolexhhdiy. haha. we were supposed to choose a location in ADM and come up wif a design for that space and carry it out. ya ... ours was really big ... the wall is like 11.22m x 2.74m ... ya .. all the circles were cut out from coloured paper ...
3D it's the usual stuff ... models and then presentation panels what you see above ... anw ... this is a styrofoam model ... haha ... i never knew we can sand styrofoam ... tts how i managed to get the smooth curves ...
hai ... foundation drawing lessons became quite sian ... we had a new prof who has like a master in art history or something ... so foundation became like art history lesson as well ... the drawing above is studies of one of Leonardo Da Vinci's painting ...

Hai ... speaking of foundation ... something very unfortunate happened ... rmb i was saying the last wk of our term was very xiong ... i skipped my foundation drawing lesson on wed to chiong my art history presentation, and many others, even those who did not hav presentation skipped the lesson as well (i heard there were only 4 person left in class). My prof was extremely angry and he's threatening to fail us now ....
sigh ... tts the very stupid part of our grading system ... it's not like other course which your grades are from your tests and quizs .... we can do badly if our prof has a bad impression of us -_-
hai ... sorry for complaining so much because i'm damn angry about it ... many of my classmates skipped and skipped the previous lessons ... and they managed to get away cos my prof doesn't take attendance and he doesn't rmb us ... now he's just pushing all the blame to those who skipped the last lesson ... which is us who skipped for the first time and we got blacklisted -_-
